What is Organic Certification

Organic certification is the process of ensuring that products meet specified requirements. It is basically the acknowledgement that the items were produced in accordance with the appropriate Organic Standards in the case of Organic Products. Essentially all of the world's main organic markets, including as India, the European Union, the United States, and Japan, have adopted their own Organic Standards.

How to get Organic Certification

Farming
  • Organic farming is based on improving soil quality.

  • Certification of these operations is required to preserve organic integrity.
Packaging

Processing
  • Organic crops can be combined with other organic crops or spices to create a more complex product.
Labeling
  • The manner in which agricultural goods are handled, processed, and blended with other ingredients determines whether they may be branded organic.
  • Ingredients and processing aids that are 100 percent organic are used.
  • Organic means that at least 95% of the ingredients were grown organically, with the remaining 5% coming from the National List of Allowable Ingredients.
  • Made with Organic Components = a minimum of 70% organic content with the rest of the ingredients being allowed.
Shipping
  • Products are delivered to retailers or distributors.
  • Items must be protected from contamination by non-organic products in order to maintain their organic purity.
  • Trucks are checked for shipping methods that maintain this integrity prior to loading and unloading, such as the separation of organic and nonorganic products and impermeable packaging.
Distribution
  • To distribute items, farms, processors, and other distributors bring their products to a central place.
  • If an organic product is repackaged, maybe in smaller volumes, the CERTIFICATION BODY will ensure that the organic integrity is preserved.
Transportation
  • Special precautions must be taken to safeguard organic items from contamination, just as they must be taken while shipping. Retail
